John Muir

John Muir was a Scottish-born American naturalist, author, and environmental philosopher who is known as the 'Father of the National Parks.' He was instrumental in establishing Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks and co-founded the Sierra Club in 1892, dedicating his life to wilderness preservation and conservation.
