John Moritsugu

Jon Moritsugu (born February 15, 1965) is an American cult-underground filmmaker and musician known for satiric, protopunk deconstructions of popular genres and formats. His work, described by The New York Times as 'funny, anarchic, provocative and exhilarating,' often addresses discrimination against Asian-Americans and the legacy of white supremacy in America[1][6]. He graduated from Brown University's Semiotics Department and has created seven feature films and numerous shorts that have screened at major festivals including Sundance, Cannes, and Berlin[1][2].
