John Merwin

John Henry Merwin was a renowned American fishing writer and editor, best known as the longtime fishing editor for Field & Stream magazine from 2003 to 2010. He authored or edited 15 books on fishing, including Stillwater Trout, The New American Trout Fishing, and Trailside Guide to Fly Fishing, and was celebrated for his expertise in catching species from piranhas to Atlantic salmon. Merwin lived near the Battenkill River in Dorset, Vermont, and passed away peacefully at age 66 surrounded by family.[2][3]
