John M Szostak

Jack W. Szostak is a Canadian-American molecular biologist and geneticist known for his foundational research on telomeres and chromosome protection, work that helped earn him the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. He later shifted major attention to the origin of life, studying how simple chemical systems could evolve into self-replicating protocells.
