John Logan
John Logan was an American poet born in Red Oak, Iowa, known for his lyrical poetry exploring themes of flesh and spirit, religion, and the human condition. He earned degrees from Coe College and the University of Iowa, taught at Notre Dame, and founded the poetry magazine Choice. Logan authored fourteen books of poetry, including the award-winning Only the Dreamer Can Change the Dream (1981), and served as poetry editor of The Nation until his death in 1987 at age 64.
