John K. Tsotsos

John K. Tsotsos is a Canadian computer scientist and Distinguished Research Professor of Vision Science at York University, best known for his work in visual attention and the Selective Tuning computational model. His research spans computer vision, human vision, robotics, and artificial intelligence, with significant contributions to understanding the computational complexity of visual information processing. He was elected Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering in 2024 and received the Sir John William Dawson Medal from the Royal Society of Canada in 2015.
