John Jordan

John Jordan (8 April 1930 – 6 June 1988) was an Irish poet, short-story writer, critic, and broadcaster who was a leading figure in Dublin's literary life from the 1950s until his death [1][7]. He edited the seminal magazine Poetry Ireland and founded its successor, Poetry Ireland Review, while also serving as an academic at University College Dublin and a member of Aosdána [7][8]. His collected works include Collected Poems (1991) and Crystal Clear: Selected Prose (2006) [7].
