John J. Nance is an American author, pilot, attorney, and aviation safety expert, known for his New York Times bestselling novels and contributions to patient safety. A native Texan raised in Dallas, he holds degrees from Southern Methodist University, served as a decorated U.S. Air Force pilot in Vietnam and Desert Storm, and worked as an airline pilot and ABC News aviation analyst.[1][2][3]
