John Iliffe

John Iliffe is a British historian specializing in the history of Africa, particularly Tanzania, and served as Professor of African History at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of acclaimed works such as 'The African Poor: A History' and 'Africans: The History of a Continent', earning the Herskovits Prize in 1988. He remains a Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge.
