John Hicks
Sir John Richard Hicks (1904–1989) was a British economist and one of the most influential economic theorists of the 20th century. He made major contributions to consumer demand theory, welfare economics, and general equilibrium analysis, and he is especially known for the IS-LM model and the Hicksian demand function. Hicks shared the 1972 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with Kenneth Arrow.
