John Galindo

Juan Galindo (christened John Galindo) was an Irish-Honduran political activist, military officer, and early pioneer of Maya archaeology who served the Liberal government of Central America. Born in Dublin in 1802, he explored the region and examined Maya ruins, earning recognition for his archaeological findings before dying in 1840.
