John Fahey
John Fahey was an influential American fingerstyle guitarist and composer, widely regarded as the father of American primitive guitar and a pioneering figure in acoustic fingerstyle music. Born in Washington, D.C., he recorded over forty albums and was celebrated for his minimalist, self-taught style that shaped the genre. Fahey died in Salem, Oregon, in 2001 following heart surgery.
