John F. Calder

John F. Calder is a U.S. Navy veteran and writer best known for his memoir "Fire for Effect: USS Stoddard and the U.S. Navy's First Shots of the Vietnam War." He served as a radarman aboard the USS Stoddard during the Vietnam War and later wrote about that experience and the ship’s role in the conflict.
