John Crawford
John Crawford is an American Iraq War veteran and writer originally from Palatka, Florida, known for his 2005 bestselling memoir The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell, which recounts his experiences with the National Guard in Iraq. Newly married and two credits shy of a B.A. in anthropology from Florida State University, he was deployed during the invasion, patrolling Baghdad for over a year after its fall. He now lives in Florida, completing his degree and writing, with appearances on NPR, C-SPAN, and The Daily Show.[1][2][3]
