John Burrows

John Burroughs (1837–1921) was an American naturalist and nature essayist whose work helped shape the conservation movement in the United States. He became widely known for essays celebrating the natural world and for his associations with writers and conservationists such as Walt Whitman, John Muir, and Theodore Roosevelt.
