John A. Hopf, Peter S. and Raeber

John A. Hopps (John Alexander Hopps) was a Canadian inventor and research scientist best known as the co-developer of the first artificial heart pacemaker. He is widely recognized as a pioneer of biomedical engineering in Canada and also helped develop the first combined pacemaker-defibrillator.
