John 1694-1761 Taylor

John Taylor (1694–1761) was a dissenting divine and Hebraist born in Scotforth, Lancashire, England, the son of a timber merchant. He served as a Presbyterian pastor in Norwich, where he laid the foundation for the Octagon Chapel, and later became a divinity tutor at Warrington Academy before dying in his sleep on 5 March 1761.
