Joe Ollmann
Joe Ollmann is a Canadian cartoonist born on March 25, 1966, in Hamilton, Ontario, where he grew up on a Christmas tree farm and began self-publishing his comic series Dirty Nails in 1988. Known for his scratchy, angular style and acclaimed works like Fictional Father (shortlisted for the Governor General's Award) and The Abominable Mr. Seabrook, his cartoons have appeared in publications such as The Paris Review and Best American Comics. With a 35-year career, he has received awards including the 2007 Doug Wright Best Book Award for This Will End In Tears.
