Joanne Schwartz

Joanne Schwartz is a Canadian children's author born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, who has worked as a children's librarian for more than thirty years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History from York University and a Master's degree in Library Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Her picture book Town Is by the Sea won the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award and was nominated for the Governor General's Literary Award.
