JoAnn Early Macken
JoAnn Early Macken is an American author who has written more than 130 books for young readers, including picture books such as Waiting Out the Storm, Baby Says 'Moo!', and Flip, Float, Fly: Seeds on the Move, as well as poetry and nonfiction works. She holds an M.F.A. in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College and teaches writing courses at various levels. Her poems have appeared in children's magazines and anthologies like the Poetry Friday Anthology for Celebrations.
