Joan Schwartz

Joanne Schwartz is a Canadian children’s author and librarian who grew up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and has worked as a children’s librarian for more than thirty years. Her picture books include *Our Corner Grocery Store*, a Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award finalist, and *Town Is by the Sea*, which won the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award and was a Governor General’s Literary Award nominee.[1][3]
