Joan Lambert
Joan Dahr Lambert is an academic who unexpectedly became a novelist with her debut book Circles of Stone, published by Simon & Schuster in 1997-1999, initially intended as a non-fiction work on female contributions to human evolution but transforming into fiction.[2][1] She published her first novel at age 65 and has since written additional novels, including the Mother People series and later works like Bones of the Whale in 2022 and Wading Into Murder in 2013.[4][2][1]
