Jnaneshwara, also known as Sant Dnyaneshwar or Jnaneshwar Maharaj, was a 13th-century Marathi saint, poet, philosopher, and yogi associated with the Nath and Varkari traditions. He is best known for the Jnaneshwari, a Marathi commentary on the Bhagavad Gita, and for helping establish Marathi as a major language of devotional and philosophical literature.
