JIMMY DAVIS
Jim Davis is an American cartoonist born on July 28, 1945, near Marion, Indiana. He created the comic strip Garfield, which debuted on June 19, 1978, and is now syndicated in more than 2,600 newspapers worldwide. Davis is the founder and president of Paws Inc., a studio that manages the Garfield franchise, which has expanded into films, television shows, and merchandise.
