Jim Shepard
Jim Shepard is an acclaimed American author of numerous novels and short story collections, known for his research-intensive fiction that incorporates science, history, and bold narratives. He has received prestigious awards including the Story Prize for *Like You’d Understand, Anyway*, a National Book Award finalist, and the Sophie Brody Medal for *The Book of Aron*. A professor at Williams College from 1983 to 2024, he lives in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with his wife, writer Karen Shepard.
