Jessie Hosford

Jessie Hosford was an American author known for her young adult novels. She wrote 'An Awful Name to Live Up To,' published in 1969, which won a Western Heritage Award in 1970, and 'You Bet Your Boots I Can,' a story about a teenage girl in turn-of-the-century Nebraska, published in 1971.[1][2][4]
