Jerzy Feliks Urman

Jerzy Feliks Urman was an 11-year-old Jewish boy from Stanisławów (now Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine) who died in 1942 by swallowing a cyanide capsule to avoid capture by Nazi officers during the Holocaust. He is recorded as the only child suicide in Yad Vashem's extensive archive, and his diary serves as a poignant testament to the tragedy of the Holocaust in Eastern Galicia.
