Jerry S. Parr was a United States Secret Service agent best known for helping protect President Ronald Reagan during the March 30, 1981 assassination attempt in Washington, D.C. He pushed Reagan into the presidential limousine and directed the motorcade to George Washington University Hospital, an action widely credited with helping save the president’s life.
