Jerry Pallotta
Jerry Pallotta, born Gerard Larry Pallotta on March 26, 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts, is a prolific children's author known as the 'Alphabet Man' for his over 20 nature and science alphabet books, starting with The Ocean Alphabet Book in 1986 inspired by his childhood on the Massachusetts coast.[1][2][3][5] He is renowned for the Who Would Win series, featuring fact-filled comparisons of animals, and has written over 90 books combining humor, research, and engaging illustrations for young readers.[1][5][7] A Georgetown University graduate (B'75), he lives in Scituate, Massachusetts, is married to Linda, and has four children and ten grandchildren.[3][5][6]
