Jerry L. Ross

Jerry L. Ross is a retired United States Air Force officer and former NASA astronaut, renowned for flying seven Space Shuttle missions, sharing the world record for the most spaceflights with Franklin Chang-Diaz.[1][3][4] A Purdue University graduate with degrees in mechanical engineering, he supported the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs from 1979 until his NASA retirement in 2012.[1][5] He performed nine spacewalks, ranking among the top for cumulative EVA time, and authored the memoir 'Spacewalker'.[3][5]
