Jerome Wexler

Gerald 'Jerry' Wexler (1917-2008) was an influential American music journalist and producer who coined the term 'rhythm and blues' while working at Billboard magazine. He joined Atlantic Records in 1953, becoming a key partner to Ahmet Ertegun and producing landmark recordings for artists including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and Led Zeppelin, significantly shaping R&B, soul, and rock music.[1][2][3]
