Jennifer Fandel
Jennifer Fandel is a poet, author of nonfiction books for children and young adults on historical figures and scientists, and an educator who has taught writing in prisons in Missouri and Wisconsin since 2016.[1][2] She served as administrator of the UW-Madison Writing Center from 2017 to 2021 and now works as a writing instructor with Odyssey Beyond Bars while supporting herself through communications and marketing in education.[1][2] A winner of the Wisconsin People & Ideas 2021 Poetry Contest, she enjoys bicycling, gardening, and hiking, and resides in Wisconsin after years along the Mississippi River.[1][2][3]
