Jennifer Egan

Jennifer Egan is an acclaimed American novelist and short-story writer born in Chicago and raised in San Francisco. She gained prominence with her debut novel *The Invisible Circus* (1995), followed by works like *Look at Me* (2001, National Book Award finalist), *The Keep* (2006), the Pulitzer Prize-winning *A Visit from the Goon Squad* (2011), *Manhattan Beach* (2017), and *The Candy House* (2022). Egan has also worked as a journalist, taught at the University of Pennsylvania, and served as president of PEN America from 2018 to 2020.
