Jennifer Coates

Jennifer Coates is a Professor of Japanese Studies at the University of Sheffield. Her work focuses on Japanese cinema and visual media, including authorship, gender, and cultural representation. She is the author of Making Icons: Repetition and the Female Image in Japanese Cinema, 1945-1964 and co-editor of several scholarly volumes on Japanese culture and media.
