Jean Plaidy
Jean Plaidy was the most prolific pseudonym of Eleanor Alice Burford Hibbert (1906-1993), a preeminent English author of historical fiction who wrote nearly 200 novels during the twentieth century. She specialized in fictionalized histories of European royalty and published her works under multiple pen names, with Jean Plaidy alone selling over 14 million copies worldwide by her death.
