Jean Janzen

Jean Janzen (born 1933) is a Mennonite poet, hymn writer, and essayist whose work often reflects faith, family, memory, and the landscapes of the American Midwest and California. Born in Saskatchewan and later based in Fresno, California, she studied at Fresno Pacific College and California State University, Fresno, and has published multiple poetry collections and essays, while also teaching creative writing and contributing hymns used across denominations.
