Jean-Jacques Chattot

Jean-Jacques Chattot is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Davis, renowned for his contributions to computational aerodynamics and fluid dynamics. Born and raised in France, he was inspired by his grandfather who repaired and flew planes during World War I, leading him to pursue advanced studies including a B.S. in Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de L’Aéronautique (1968), a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley (1971), and a Doctorat ès Sciences in Mathematics from Université de Paris Sud (1979). He is also an author of books on computational aerodynamics.
