Jean Fritz
Jean Fritz (1915–2017) was an American children's author best known for her historical biographies and fiction about American history and figures. Born in China to missionary parents, she moved to the United States at age 13 and went on to write dozens of acclaimed books for children, earning numerous prestigious awards including the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award and the National Endowment for the Humanities Medal.
