Jaya Appasamy

Jaya Appasamy (1917–1989) was a pioneering Indian artist, art critic, and scholar who studied painting in China and the United States, later serving as Editor of the Lalit Kala Akademi and writing extensively on modern and contemporary Indian art. She was also an avid collector who founded the Rasaja Foundation to establish a collector's museum.
