Jay Bennett

Jay Bennett was an American author of mystery and juvenile suspense novels who won the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America in two consecutive years, 1974 and 1975. He wrote works including *The Long Black Coat* and *The Dangling Witness*, and was also known for stage plays and television scripts.
