Janine Antoni
Janine Antoni is a contemporary American artist born in Freeport, Bahamas, known for her innovative work in performance art, sculpture, and photography that often explores identity, gender, and the use of the body as a primary tool. Since the 1990s, she has gained prominence for her unique processes, such as painting with her hair and sculpting with her teeth, blurring the boundaries between performance, conceptual, and feminist art. Antoni currently lives and works in New York, where her works are held in major collections including MoMA and the National Gallery of Art.
