Janet Marsh

Janet Marsh is a British artist and naturalist renowned for her watercolor illustrations of wildlife, particularly along England's Itchen River, where she spent her childhood in the 1960s observing and sketching the chalk stream's ecosystem.[1][2] In 1979, she published 'Janet Marsh's Nature Diary,' a beautifully illustrated nature journal documenting the river's life, which stemmed from her art degree project and gained attention after a local newspaper feature.[1][2][3] Now in her late 70s, she has contributed to environmental campaigns, such as protesting a motorway extension over the river, and has authored multiple books on nature subjects.[1][4]
