Jane Barker

Jane Barker (1652–1732) was an English poet, novelist, and translator, best known for her fiction and politically engaged writing as a devoted Jacobite. She spent years in voluntary exile in France after the Glorious Revolution and later returned to England, where she continued writing and managing family affairs.
