Jan Thornhill (Adapter)
Jan Thornhill is a Canadian writer and illustrator of educational children's books on science and nature, born in 1955 in Sudbury, Ontario. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art, she has won numerous awards including the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People in 2015 and the Norma Fleck Award in 2007 for *I Found a Dead Bird*. Her works, such as *The Wildlife ABC* and *The Tragic Tale of the Great Auk*, often feature wildlife and environmental themes.[1][2][3]
