James W Loewen

James W. Loewen (1942–2021) was an American sociologist, historian, and author best known for Lies My Teacher Told Me, a критique of how American history is taught in textbooks. He also wrote influential works on race, memory, and racism in the United States, including Sundown Towns and Lies Across America, and was recognized for scholarship in social justice.
