James Malcolm Polidori, John Shelley, Mary Wollstonecraft Rymer

John William Polidori (1795–1821) was an English writer and physician associated with the Romantic movement. He is best known for "The Vampyre" (1819), the first published modern vampire story in English, which helped establish the literary vampire tradition.
