James H. Thorp
James H. Thorp is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, specializing in the ecology of freshwater systems including lotic and lentic environments at scales from macrosystems to communities.[1] His research encompasses invertebrates and fish, with emphasis on conceptual theories, food web studies using CSIA-AA and bulk tissue techniques, and theoretical ecological functioning.[1] He is the author of several books, including the popular 'Field Guide to Freshwater Invertebrates of North America.'[4]
