James E. Smith

James E. Smith (born 1939) is an American biblical scholar and professor emeritus of Old Testament, known for his extensive work on the Pentateuch and his long academic career at Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Florida Christian College. He holds a Ph.D. from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and has served as a distinguished professor and adjunct faculty member for decades.
