James E. Anthony

Elwyn James Anthony (1916-2014) was a British psychoanalyst and child psychiatrist renowned for his pioneering research on psychological resilience and vulnerability in children, particularly those with parents suffering from mental illnesses. He served as President of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (1981-1983) and other major organizations, authored 320 research articles and 19 books, and was one of the founders of group psychotherapy.
