James Denholm

James Denholm (1772–1818) was a teacher of drawing in Glasgow, Scotland, recognized as one of the ablest local chroniclers. He authored 'An Historical and Topographical Description of the City of Glasgow' (1797, with editions in 1798 and later) and 'A Descriptive Tour to the Principal Scotch and English Lakes.' He died in Glasgow on 20 April 1818 at the age of forty-five.[1]
